Budget Vacation for Two | Traveling and SINGLE?

Enjoy an affordable vacation for two
If you want to enjoy a vacation for two on a budget, you have plenty of options today. Planning and thorough research are necessary, though. The selection is huge, and every now and then you can lose track of it all.

Budget vacation for two - Where should the trip actually go?
Organizing a budget vacation for two requires a certain agreement on the destination. The destination is definitely closely tied to the price. Some places are simply extremely sought after and are therefore considered tourist hot spots. The selection of suitable rooms is therefore often more than slim, especially during the holiday season. This alone can quickly cause a lot of frustration for the people involved.
It therefore makes sense not to fixate on a single destination and to always have a plan B. Away from the hustle and bustle, you can sometimes stay overnight better and more cheaply. If the weather is nice and the hotel is outside town, maybe you can simply bike into the city. That saves not only your vacation budget but the environment too. A budget vacation for two? It's often much easier than you'd think!
Budget vacation for two, where can you save?
Of course, first of all on travel costs! You should always compare prices and, if possible, travel outside peak season. Taking a long-distance bus is usually cheaper than the train. However, you shouldn't book at the last minute here, since depending on the destination the prices then differ only very slightly from train prices. If you prefer the train and still want to save, you should look into a rail discount card. In Germany, for example, the BahnCard 50 already gives you 50 percent off the total fare, and it often pays for itself after just a few long trips a year. Sometimes, though, it simply has to be the car.
There are a few things to keep in mind here, too. First, never fill up right at the interstate! Gas prices there are almost always several cents more expensive, sometimes more than 10 cents per gallon. The timing of your fill-up matters too. You should never fill up right at the start of the holidays! If you know a trip is coming up, you can fill up a few days earlier and top off again along the way if needed. This option is generally always cheaper than filling up at the interstate. When two people travel together, there's no need to stress, but you should be considerate of the other person to avoid unnecessary arguments and frustration.
