A bold slogan, and I hope it becomes reality? I love traveling and I love adventure. As an Asia fan I know plenty of countries, but this June things turned out differently. For the first time on my solo trip I didn't meet a single soul. No idea what was going on. I felt like an alien. All around me, only couples or families. I can report one highlight. A married father of two talked to me twice for about 10 minutes. Wow, what an experience. So, folks: finding a travel buddy is on my list this summer.

On my trip to Thailand I made a stop on Koh Tao. They say it's the death island. It was really eerie. I wanted to leave my hotel, because another guest and I were the only ones there. The door to my room wouldn't lock at night. I had booked two nights and I made it through. At the pier I met some British travelers who were in the same boat. But they left their hotel and moved to another one. If I had placed my ad "Find a travel buddy" beforehand, we could simply have gotten through such bizarre moments together, right? From a distance I now see it with humor. In that moment, though, I felt pretty lonely. Can you understand that?

Find a travel buddy - how about Greece?

 

In general I'm open to many destinations. I'd love to go to Greece one day. How does this great destination sound to you? Mykonos is surely a fabulous island with its white buildings. Island hopping would be great. A tour through Italy would be nice too. I'm an open person; the main thing is getting out into the wide world.

So far I've only had positive experiences. Maybe this time should be different, so the two of us can go traveling? Maybe you've had similar experiences and haven't dared to start searching yet? Then just reply to me and we'll get to know each other, no strings attached. Anything can happen, nothing has to! That's a good motto, and one thing always counts: having fun! You'll be surprised by me. I'm very multifaceted and not fixed on a particular type. You should have a sense of humor and be open to foreign cultures.
